About Us

Maison Khalique was founded by London and UAE-based fashion designers and entrepreneurs, Faisal Khalique and Paula Helsner. Since the age of 15, Faisal Khalique has been sketching and designing garments. Having secured Saville Row tailoring apprenticeships at just 16 years old, Khalique made the move into fashion to pursue his passion for designing luxury apparel. In 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the couple started sketching distinctive and eccentric footwear that they themselves would be proud to wear.

Fast forward a year and today, Faisal and Paula run the synonymous boutique atelier Maison Khalique, which specialises in unique and vibrant footwear for the billionaire lifestyle. Having experimented with various exotic animal leathers, the product is now made from sustainably sourced cow leather. Designs are conceived in Maison Khalique’s studio in Dubai before production starts in Italy, where half of the shoe is created. They are then shipped to the studio in UAE where they’re completed by hand.

Maison Khalique is the first footwear-only Middle-East based designer, paving the way for the ever-increasingly fashion-focused region. 

Taking inspiration from brands they wear and respect, and with Bavarian influences, Maison Khalique was founded with the goal of producing truly distinctive and customisable footwear that Khalique themselves would be happy to wear. Channeling the couple’s personality through the shoes, they’re the perfect mix of classic, sweet and charmingly eccentric. The ultimate goal, Khalique say, is to leave a lasting legacy in the world of fashion.
